Dribl

The mission

Create an environment of opportunity for all of our players to develop as individuals both technically and socially in a competitive team based environment where the club culture and success is core to how we operate.

Structure

We are part of the Plympton Sporting & Recreation Club. We share the grounds with Senior Soccer, Collegiate Soccer plus seniors and juniors from Aussie Rules as well as cricket. The Plympton Sporting & Recreation Club Committee governs the sporting codes and the grounds are owned and maintained by the Marion City Council.

Junior Soccer, Collegiate Soccer and Senior Soccer are separate codes, with the Juniors playing in the State League, Collegiate playing in the Collegiate League and the Seniors playing in the Amateur League. Juniors and Seniors play their respective games on Sundays, Collegiate play on Saturdays. Junior Soccer, Senior Soccer and Junior Aussie Rules all compromise to share the ground on Sunday mornings, with Senior Aussie Rules playing on Saturday afternoons. We all also share the oval facilities on weeknights to ensure everyone has access for training. Cricket occupies the oval between early October and end of March.

Training

Training usually takes place on Wednesday and Friday evenings timings vary per team - pitch space is limited, so check with your own team. Some of the younger teams will only train once per week.

Pre season training commences around February once student’s return to school and the temperatures begin to fall. Teams will be advised accordingly.

Training sessions can run slightly earlier or later to accommodate individual team requirements.
