Come 'n Try

U8 - U11

These youngsters are referred to as MiniRoos. The focus here is to develop skills, begin instilling goods sportsmanship, and to have fun playing soccer. The smaller pitch helps keep their focus and the shorter games lasting a total of about 40 – 50 minutes.

No official scores are kept and there is no points system, in this bracket, it’s not about competition.

We hold these Come ‘n Try sessions for children to come have a go at soccer and see what they think. You must register to attend a come ‘n try session and we’ll use your information to notify you of times and dates.

There is a limit to the number of players we can accept in these age groups, and preference will be given to returning players. We try where possible to put you in touch with either the MiniRoos Kick-off program or possibly another club with vacancies.

Anatomy of a season

Trials

U12 - U17

These groups are a more competitive bunch, with matches taking place on full sized pitches, officially administered and played for premiership points.

The focus here is to improve all-round gameplay and ball skill, continued development of team-work and have them strive to be the best version of themselves both on and off the pitch.

Given the comparatively relaxed nature of PBJSC (compared to thats of it’s surrounding clubs) and its land-locked location means numbers will always remain tight which in-turn means there is a real possibility that not every player trialing can be successful. Preference will always be given to returning players and yet it’s not an impossibility either.

Note: Parents + grandparents

You are the backbone of these groups and competition would stop if it was not for you. Please take a moment to assess whether you are willing to commit for a full season of taxi-ing them all around as well as helping the team and the club.
